Lancers Soccer
Our Summer program (also known as Lancers) has been providing soccer opportunities to the children of Orange and surrounding communities for the last 30 years. The best Summer program around, Lancers is the perfect option for children ages 5 to 15 looking to keep playing after a great Spring season or to get a jump start on the Fall season. But make no mistake, Lancers is a remarkable program all on its own! Using the wonderful Summer months and weather, Lancers teams play through May (practice begins), June (games begin on the first Saturday) and July. We find that these months provide a fabulous opportunity to participate in soccer when most players are on Summer break and life slows down a bit (a relative term for you parents out there!) The soccer is exciting and developmental but, above all, the entire season is structured around fun! Children are even able to "buddy" with a friend! Our players come from every skill and experience level (you are never too old to start to play.) Our coaches, along with all of our wonderful volunteers, are dedicated to demonstrating model behavior and creating an environment that promotes fun, fairness, skills, sportsmanship and safety. Our teams are balanced and our field sizes, rules and rosters are modified to ensure that the Beautiful Game of soccer is enjoyed by all. Come out and see why soccer is the most popular sport in the world! All that and extra money too! Lancers provides a terrific opportunity for children 11 and older to earn extra money as a referee or linesman. Contact our Director of Referees Joe Beauchesne to find out how you can attend a certification class and get more information on becoming a referee.
Lancers is just one of the many programs we have at Orange Junior Soccer Club. We invite you to explore our entire site and learn about how we have a program for every player, all year long!
