LATE REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER LANCERS COMING TO A CLOSE!Drop completed registration materials off at Lamppost Pizza (corner of Tusin & Chapman in Orange) before Friday, April 27.
FIVE EASY STEPS:
1. Go to the Registration page of the OJSC website, look for the Registration Application for 2012 Lancers Summer Program Players, complete it on line and print off three copies. Remember to check the LancerSpring Select box and sign both copies of the form.
2. IF YOU LIVE IN THE CITY OF ORANGE – Attach a copy of utility bill, tax/escrow papers, bank/credit card statement or car registration showing home address. THIS IS MANDATORY FOR ALL ORANGE RESIDENTS AND NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THIS. NO EXCEPTIONS! Include one copy for EACH child you are registering as we will keep this copy. This is required even if the child has played soccer through OJSC previously.
3. If this is the first time your son or daughter is registering with OJSC we need:
a. A COPY of Proof of Age. Only a birth certificate or birth registration issued by a government agency or board of health records or passport will be accepted. Hospital or religious certificates are not acceptable. Make a copy for EACH child as we will keep this copy. You must be between 4½ and 19 years of age to play.
b. A small picture 1x1". This will be used to create your child's player ID card.
4. Write a $80 Check or Money Order payable to OJSC for player registration fees.
5. PUT EVERYTHING IN ONE ENVELOPE MARKED "SUMMER LANCERS REGISTRATION" AND DROP IT OFF AT LAMPPOST PIZZA DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.
Our Summer program (also known as Lancers) has been providing soccer opportunities to the children of Orange and surrounding communities for the last 30 years. The best Summer program around, Lancers is the perfect option for children ages 5 to 15 looking to keep playing after a great Spring season or to get a jump start on the Fall season. But make no mistake, Lancers is a remarkable program all on its own!
Using the wonderful Summer months and weather, Lancers teams play through May (practice begins), June (games begin on the first Saturday) and July. We find that these months provide a fabulous opportunity to participate in soccer when most players are on Summer break and life slows down a bit (a relative term for you parents out there!) The soccer is exciting and developmental but, above all, the entire season is structured around fun! Children are even able to "buddy" with a friend!
Our players come from every skill and experience level (you are never too old to start to play.) Our coaches, along with all of our wonderful volunteers, are dedicated to demonstrating model behavior and creating an environment that promotes fun, fairness, skills, sportsmanship and safety. Our teams are balanced and our field sizes, rules and rosters are modified to ensure that the Beautiful Game of soccer is enjoyed by all. Come out and see why soccer is the most popular sport in the world!
